From “Eco-Design” to “Cultural Resonance”
Xie Ke, a graduate of the Oil Painting Department at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, has been engaged in spatial design for over 20 years. He consistently adheres to a simple and naturalistic style, excelling in the use of plain and unadorned materials to imbue spaces with a natural narrative quality. Always respectful of local cultures, he pursues the integration of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics, creating Eastern humanistic aesthetic spaces that resonate within a global context.
From “Theatricalize” to “Environmental Friendliness”
X Hong is an internationally renowned designer and artist, and the founder of HHD Holiday Eastern International Design Group. His works always create a “dreamlike and illusory” spatial effect. He has received numerous honors, including the “Outstanding Contribution Award in Human Settlements” from the University of Cambridge and the American Architecture Master Prize. As the designer of the top-level club in the Burj Khalifa and an officially certified designer for Lamborghini, he has also established the theory of situational space design. He has published several monographs and has given academic lectures at institutions such as the University of Cambridge and the Pratt Institute in New York. In addition to his design achievements, X Hong has made remarkable contributions in the art field. He created the “world’s largest jade mural” and has been invited to design works for Stephen Hawking and Prince Charles.
From “Humanistic Care” to “Functional Innovation”
Lucas Chirnside, as an interdisciplinary designer, has created multiple award-winning projects over the past 20 years, spanning large-scale architecture, hotel interior design, and bespoke products. He excels at switching between macro and micro design, bringing depth and a sense of connection to BAR Studio. In luxury hotel projects, Lucas has led his team to complete the highly praised Park Hyatt Niseko Garden Hotel, leveraging his experience in Australia, Japan, and China. He is also involved in the Fairmont Tokyo Hotel, which is scheduled to open in mid-2025. Born in New Zealand and driven by his passion for international design culture, Lucas has lived in Japan, China, and Europe. He is currently based in Melbourne, Australia.
“Let the architecture disappear and let nature return.”
As a distinguished female representative in contemporary architecture, Qi Shanshan has injected new life into the design of luxury hotels with her unique design philosophy and deep understanding of nature. Her works transcend the traditional realm of architecture and become artworks that engage in dialogue with nature.
In recent years, the luxury hotels she has designed have become classic masterpieces. By integrating architecture into nature, she has not only created luxurious spaces but also endowed the buildings with a sense of humility. “
“A Commitment to Ultimate Luxury and Attention to Detail”
In 2018, Mark moved from Los Angeles to Dubai to join Ennismore, the lifestyle hotel group, as the Vice President of Global Design. He co-leads Ennismore’s global design team with Charlie North. Mark is an outstanding hotel design director and hospitality consultant, with his design projects spanning the globe. At this forum, he will, for the first time, publicly share the luxurious design concepts of his hotel brands in the domestic market.
As the link and bridge between the Ennismore brand and regional design teams, Mark is responsible for setting the tone for hotel design and developing the design and product strategies for the Ennismore brand. He ensures that these brands are not only forward-looking but also remain true to their unique brand DNA.
