Air France to launch direct service between Paris and Riyadh

Air France has announced that it will launch direct flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The flights will be operated using the carrier’s fleet of Airbus A350-900 aircraft, with capacity for 324 seats across three cabin classes: 34 in business, 24 in premium economy and 266 in economy class.

The service will begin with thrice weekly operations on May 19, 2025, and will progress to five times weekly from June 2, 2025.

The French flag carrier said that once this new route is inaugurated, all three airlines of the Air France-KLM Group (Air France, KLM, and Transavia) will offer connections to Saudi Arabia.

Transavia France has been connecting Paris-Orly Airport (ORY) and Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS) to Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) since December 2024, while KLM links Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport (AMS) to Riyadh and Dammam’s King Fahd International Airport (DAM).

The six-hour Air France flights between Paris and Riyadh will operate on the following schedules:

Flight AF684 departing Paris 23:20 local time, arriving Riyadh 06:25 local time the next day

Flight AF685 departing Riyadh 08:40  local time,  arriving Paris 14:20  local time

Paris is a popular destination for Saudi Arabians, who are drawn to the French capital’s rich history, culture, and luxury shopping. In 2023, an estimated 140,000 tourists from Saudi Arabia traveled to France.
