Colombian flag carrier Avianca announced that it is set to launch a direct route between Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogotá, Colombia.
The route is set to commence by May 26, 2025, and the four times weekly flights will be operated using the carrier’s fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft.
The aircraft has the capacity to transport 180 passengers between the two cities, representing a weekly offer of 1,440 seats.
“We continue to strengthen connectivity across the Americas, offering our customers more options to travel directly between the United States and Colombia,” Rolando Damas, Avianca’s Sales Director for North America, Central America, the Caribbean and Europe said in a statement.
“We are excited to give travelers a new way to reach Bogotá from Dallas, adding to our 21 routes between the U.S. and Latin America during peak seasons,” Damas added.
The new route is scheduled to operate on the following times:
Flight AV188 depart Bogota 07:30 local time, arrive Dallas 13:20 local time
Flight AV 189 depart Dallas 2:50 local time, arrive Bogota 20:15 local time
Customers can now purchase tickets through avianca.com, mobile app, or travel agencies.
