FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida — Banyan Pilot Shop has acquired Dare to FLY Fashion, an aviation apparel brand founded by designer and pilot Jen Toplak.

Dare to FLY Fashion launched in late 2015 after Toplak created her Chicks FLY T-shirt for the International Organization of Women Pilots, raising funds for aviation scholarships. The collection has grown to include shirts, hats, and accessories.

“Jen’s artistic talent and her deep connection to aviation have made Dare to FLY a brand that resonates with pilots and aviation enthusiasts worldwide,” said Katherine Koch, Banyan Pilot Shop Manager. “As a fellow member of The Ninety-Nines, I have had the privilege of knowing Jen since the creation of this remarkable brand. I am proud to see how successful Jen has been with Dare to FLY and honored to continue its legacy at Banyan Pilot Shop. We look forward to advocating for women in aviation through these products and supporting Jen’s original mission.”

In keeping with Dare to FLY’s philanthropic roots, a percentage of all proceeds will continue to support aviation scholarships, Banyan officials added.

The Dare to FLY collection will continue to be available online at DareToFlyFashion.com, in store and online at Banyan Pilot Shop, and at affiliated retailers.
