Boeing 2025 deliveries exceed 50% of last year’s total

Boeing has published its latest orders and deliveries data which show that the manufacturer has already exceeded 50% of last year’s delivery total.

On May 13, 2025, Boeing confirmed that in April 2025, 45 customers received new aircraft, bringing the total number for the year to 175.

Between January and December 2024, Boeing delivered 348 aircraft to customers in what became one of the company’s most challenging years.

Boeing’s disastrous 2024 began when a door plug separated from an Alaska Airlines 737 MAX 9 shortly after takeoff in January 2024.

The incident had huge ramifications for the company with planes being grounded and limits placed on aircraft production.

A seven-week strike by 33,000 workers that started in September 2024, and a subsequent one-month pause to “ensure a safe and orderly restart” also added to production slowdown.

In more positive news for Boeing, April 2025 also saw a small improvement from March 2025, when 41 aircraft were delivered.

In total 30 737 MAXs were delivered in April 2025 to customers, with Air India, Ryanair, American Airlines and Akasa Air all welcoming new narrowbody jets.

The data included a P-8 Poseidon, a derivative of the Boeing 737 Next Generation, that was delivered to Germany.

Eight Boeing 787 Dreamliners were also delivered, with American Airlines and Eva Air both receiving two 787-9s each.

Boeing also announced an order for eight 737 MAX jets from an unidentified customer.
