Bradley Cooper’s Searchlight film “Is This Thing On?,” starring Will Arnett, Laura Dern, Cooper himself, Andra Day and Sean Hayes, wrapped production on Wednesday.
Amy Sedaris, Chloe Radcliffe, Scott Icenogle, Jordan Jensen, NFL quarterback Peyton Manning and Reggie Conquest are joining the cast of the film, which is also rounded out by James Tom, Gabe Fazio, Christine Ebersole, Ciarán Hinds, Blake Kane, Calvin Knegten, Derek Gaines and Matt Richards.
“Is This Thing On?” is penned by Cooper, Arnett and Mark Chappell (“See How They Run”). Cooper, who also directed, serves as a producer alongside Weston Middleton under their Lea Pictures banner, with Arnett and Kris Thykier (“Miss Sloane,” “Kick-Ass”).
Joining Cooper behind the camera are production designer Kevin Thompson (“Maestro,” “Birdman”), Oscar-nominated director of photography Matthew Libatique (“A Star Is Born,” “Black Swan”), costume designer Gali Noy (“Maestro”), editor Charlie Greene (“Maestro,” “The Queen’s Gambit”), Oscar-nominated hair department head Lori McCoy-Bell (“Maestro,” “Nightmare Alley”), Oscar-nominated makeup department head Nicki Ledermann (“Joker,” “The Irishman”) and composer James Newberry (“Boy Erased”).
Director of development and production Pete Spencer and creative executive Cornelia Burleigh are overseeing the project for Searchlight Pictures, reporting to heads of production and development Katie Goodson-Thomas and DanTram Nguyen.
Sedaris has starred and appeared in iconic films and television series including “BoJack Horseman,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” “The Mandalorian,” “Maid in Manhattan,” “School of Rock,” “Elf,” “Shrek the Third” and “The Lion King.” Recent credits include “The Simpsons,” “Theater Camp,” “Somebody I Used to Know,” “Save Yourselves!” and “Life & Beth.” Sedaris has been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards for her show “At Home With Amy Sedaris.”
Radcliffe is a standup comedian, actor and writer. In 2024, she was named to both Deadline’s 15 Comedians Ready To Break Out in 2025 and Vulture’s Comedians You Should and Will Know. Her one-woman-show “Cheat” led the New York Times’ recommendations for the 2024 New York Comedy Festival. The show was featured in Deadline’s Comics to Watch, and she is currently imagining “Cheat” for other mediums. Radcliffe starred in Steven Soderbergh’s “Command Z” and was a staff writer on the series with teleplay credit on three episodes, for which she was nominated for a 2024 WGA award. She has previously appeared on “After Midnight,” “Comedy Central Featuring” and “Don’t Tell Comedy.” She currently has a comedy feature in development at Sony/Columbia Pictures.
Icenogle is a two-time ASCAP award-winning composer and music producer. He has composed and produced music for “Will & Grace,” “Star Trek: Discovery,” Honda’s “Trophy” ad campaign, “Tracker,” the Disney+ launch campaign, Star Trek Day, “Q-Force,” “The History of Comedy,” “Sunday Night Football,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “The 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards” and a host of other television and film projects.Jensen is a comedian making her acting debut. She has a Netflix special premiering this fall. In 2025, she was featured in Deadline’s 15 Comics to Watch, named one of Vulture’s Comedians You Should Know in 2023, and won New York’s Funnies” at the 2021 New York Comedy Festival. She co-hosts “Bein’ Ian With Jordan” and hosts “RIP Jordan Jensen”.
Manning is a former NFL quarterback who played 18 seasons, primarily with the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos. He holds numerous NFL records, including most MVP awards, first-team All-Pro selections, and single-season passing yards and touchdowns. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021. He has hosted a number of shows for broadcast including “The Manningcast” on ESPN2 and ESPN+, a revival of the quiz show “College Bowl” and “Peyton’s Places,” a documentary series about football. He has also guest voiced an episode of “The Simpsons” and the character of Guapo in “Ferdinand.”
Conquest is a stand-up comic, actor and writer based in New York City. He was named a New Face at the 2019 Just for Laughs Festival and appeared as “TSA Bae” in Season 4 of HBO’s “Insecure” opposite Issa Rae. His stand-up has been featured on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “Comedy Central Featuring,” “Don’t Tell Comedy” and “Laff Mobb’s Laff Tracks” on TruTV. On screen, Reggie appeared in Paramount’s “Scream 5” alongside Jenna Ortega and Courteney Cox, and has had roles in HBO Max’s “That Damn Michael Che,” Showtime’s “Flatbush Misdemeanors” and ABC’s “Abbott Elementary.” Conquest also stars in FOX’s “Animal Control” opposite Joel McHale.
