British couple arrested on 'misunderstanding' they had fake passports, Afghan Taliban ministry says



KABUL, Feb 25 (Reuters) – A British couple in their 70s was arrested by the Taliban due to a “misunderstanding” that they had fake Afghan passports, Abdul Mateen Qaniee, the spokesman for the Afghan Taliban interior ministry said on Tuesday.
Barbie and Peter Reynolds, 75 and 79, were detained by the Taliban’s interior ministry on February 1, their daughter Sarah Entwistle, who lives in central England, said.
