BTS’ J-Hope Sets First Solo World Tour

South Korean pop sensation J-Hope, best known as a member of BTS, has revealed plans for his inaugural solo world tour. The tour, titled “Hope on the Stage,” is set to commence in February and will span continents, with stops scheduled in major cities across Asia and North America.

The announcement was made on fan platform Weverse on Friday. It takes into account the current devastation caused by wildfires in California, saying, “Due to the large-scale wildfires in California, USA, and their resulting impact on the region, the detailed notice for the North American tour will be announced at a later date. We kindly ask for your understanding.”

The tour will open with a three-day residency at the KSPO Dome in Seoul from Feb. 28 to March 2. The performances will also be streamed live, giving fans worldwide a chance to join in. Following the Seoul kickoff, J-Hope will embark on a 31-show itinerary across 15 cities, including Brooklyn, Chicago, and Mexico City in North America, along with Manila, Saitama, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Macao, Taipei, and Osaka in Asia.

Big Hit Music, J-Hope’s management agency, noted in a statement that the tour’s title reflects more than just J-Hope’s presence on stage, emphasizing that it symbolizes his aspirations, dreams, and messages to fans delivered through his performances. The agency also teased a diverse lineup of performances, including the live debut of tracks from his EP “Hope on the Street Vol. 1,” a project rooted in his artistic origins. J-Hope’s first solo album was “Jack in the Box,” which released in July 2022.

The announcement follows a period of solo projects and activities by BTS members, as the group continues its temporary hiatus to allow members to focus on individual endeavors and fulfil mandatory military service obligations.
