Chicago-based musician Haley Fohr is coming back with her first Circuit des Yeux studio album since 2021. The new album, Halo on the Inside, is out on March 14 via Matador. The album does not include last year’s “God Dick,” but it does feature a new song “Megaloner,” which comes with a music video that you can watch below. “‘Megaloner’ is an anthem for the place that exists after an action and inside its consequence,” Fohr said in a statement. “Prices are being paid and hope is our currency. I’m singing about endurance, faith, agency, and the singular, unbelievable path toward one’s own fate.”
Fohr recorded Halo on the Inside in Minneapolis with producer Andrew Broder. “Through the process of making this music I was able to rewind myself to a time before fear,” Fohr stated. “And in the absence of fear I found the intimate beat of sex, love, and melody.”
