The 2025 Clear Lake Splash-In, taking place April 25-27 at the Skylark Shores Resort in Lakeport, California, will showcase proposals for new seaplane infrastructure at Clear Lake.

The event will feature presentations from leading seaplane base developers, including Bellingham Marine, Blue Water Docks, and Seaflex, according to organizers.

“We hope to encourage participation by seaplane pilots around the country to help refine the projects under consideration and to demonstrate the level of interest in using these facilities by the seaplane pilot community,” said Herb Lingl, Clear Lake Splash-In coordinator.

To enhance accessibility, seaplane pilots unable to attend in person are invited to join the discussions via Zoom, he added.

The three-day event will also highlight the latest innovations in seaplane technology, including:

Bruce Bolla, retired United Airlines captain, seaplane instructor, and investor in the Vickers Wave, will present on this amphibious aircraft

Frankie Ridolfi, Super Petrel pilot and president of the Oakland EAA chapter, will showcase innovations in the Super Petrel XP.

The event will also feature special video screenings, including an exclusive production created for the Splash-In by Aero Club Como, the world’s oldest seaplane club based in Como, Italy.

The Skylark Shores Resort will provide space for seaplane parking, with seminars taking place at the Lakeport Yacht Club. Free shuttle services will be available for pilots flying into Lampson Field (1O2).
