Aviation supplier Diehl Aviation has officially opened its new facility in the Dubai Airport Freezone – a 1,100 m2 area in the logistics hub of the airport’s free trade zone. Diehl is now able to carry out the final assembly, finishing, rework and delivery of certain cabin components on site. As an EASA Part 21G manufacturing company, Diehl Aviation has the necessary aviation approvals and can certify the products itself on site.
The facility features specialized areas including production lines, rework workstations, a spare parts warehouse, and offices. Many of these services will be carried out by Diehl’s local partner company STS Aviation Services, bringing a wealth of experience to support operations and ensure the highest standards of quality.
Initially, the facility will mainly complete components for lavatories and sidewall panels for the A380 aircraft family. Services for more aircraft families will be added based on customer demand. The newly acquired capacity will enable Diehl Aviation to provide its local customers with significantly faster and more customized services. Furthermore, Diehl Aviation is currently exploring opportunities to expand its local presence – especially the allocation of EASA Part 145 repair capability in Dubai.

Diehl Aviation first established its own representative office in Dubai in 2020, which is also located in the airport’s free trade zone. Since then, Customer Services and Sales in the Middle East region have been successfully organized from here.
