As of January 2025, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide Campus has opened enrollment for two new graduate programs: the M.S. in Airline Management and the M.S. in Airport and Air Mobility Management.
Available online through the College of Business (COB), these programs are designed for students within the aviation industry who are looking to launch or advance their careers. The COB currently enrolls nearly 5,000 students – more than 1,600 of whom are pursuing graduate degrees.
“We are very excited to launch the new Master of Science in Airline Management and Master of Science in Airport and Air Mobility Management,” said Worldwide Chancellor John R. Watret, Ph.D., FRAeS. “The addition of these programs to our catalog will provide students with new career pathways and opportunities to contribute to and enhance the ever-growing business sector of aviation.”
The M.S. in Airline Management will provide students with technical skills in pricing, revenue management, technical operations, sustainability, regulations, route planning and more.
The M.S. in Airport and Air Mobility Management allows students to explore complex airport administration, gain expertise in operations and navigate evolving laws and regulations to advance their knowledge and skills alongside industry developments.
Dr. Aaron Glassman, chair of the Department of Management, emphasized the benefit of specialized programs for aspiring leaders in aviation.
“These two programs prepare future leaders in the airport and airline space with the tools necessary to not only operate an airport or airline but to lead air travel into the future through innovation, technology and futurist thinking,” he said.
These 30-credit-hour programs include a 15-credit co-shared curriculum through the first courses taken upon program enrollment. This collaboration promotes collective knowledge, enabling students from both programs to gain a deep, well-rounded understanding of the interconnectedness, influence and impact of airlines, airports and the evolving world of air mobility.
Glassman also noted that courses throughout both programs were developed by well-known executives in airline and airport industries, making them highly relevant and focused on the skills and knowledge needed to excel in daily career functions.
“By focusing on future trends in aviation, our new degree programs offer unparalleled opportunities for students to become key contributors in shaping the future of air travel from both the airline and airport perspective,” he said.
The most recently surveyed alumni from graduate programs in the COB report a placement rate of 97% within one year of graduation – highlighting the preparedness of Embry-Riddle graduates who pursue advanced education or career development opportunities.
These programs emphasize the university’s mission of providing graduate students with exceptional opportunities to complete advanced studies through courses guided by industry needs, corporate career opportunities and forward-thinking leadership practices.
