Ethel Cain has announced her second album of the year. Following the release of January’s experimental project Perverts, the singer-songwriter will follow it up with her sophomore studio album, Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You, this August. Cain will also embark on a lengthy North American and European tour in support of the LP that will take her to New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and many more cities. Check out the dates and album artwork below.
Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You is billed as a prequel to Cain’s 2022 debut album, Preacher’s Daughter, the latter of which arrives on vinyl for the first time on April 4. The name “Willoughby Tucker” will be familiar to some Ethel Cain fans, as it’s the name of the musician’s high school boyfriend. As fans have noted, Cain sang about him and the relationship on the Preacher’s Daughter song “A House in Nebraska.”
For the upcoming Willoughby Tucker Forever Tour, Cain has announced a partnership with the Ally Coalition in which $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to organizations committed to serving the trans community.
