Etihad Airways to launch flights to Peshawar, Pakistan

Etihad Airways has announced its latest route expansion – direct flights from Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) to Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport (PEW) starting September 29, 2025.

This marks Etihad’s fourth city service in Pakistan, and its 16th new destination in 2025.

The other three cities in Pakistan that Etihad flies to are Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport (KHI), Islamabad International Airport (ISB) and Allama Iqbal International Airport (LHE) in Lahore.

Etihad will operate the route using its Airbus A320 family aircraft, featuring eight seats in business class and 150 in economy.

The flights will initially operate five times a week, with daily flights set to begin on November 22, 2025.

“We are thrilled to further expand our presence in Pakistan with the launch of our daily service between Abu Dhabi and Peshawar,” said Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways.

“This new route reflects our commitment to providing vital connectivity for travellers between Pakistan and the Gulf, Africa, Europe, and North America. In addition to new flights to Peshawar, we are boosting our frequency to Karachi to 17 flights a week from October 1, 2025,” Neves further said.

There are approximately 1.9 million Pakistanis residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), making them the second-largest expatriate group after Indians.

The new flights are set to operate on the following schedules:
