French training aircraft certified by EASA — General Aviation News

French company AURA AERO has received EASA certification for its first aircraft, the INTEGRAL R, a two-seat training aircraft with aerobatic capability.

FAA certification is the next step, according to company officials.

The certification marks the culmination of a test campaign, on the ground and in flight, which lasted four years, company officials added.

The first aircraft of the INTEGRAL family designed and manufactured by AURA AERO, INTEGRAL R performed its first flight in June 2020 at Toulouse-Francazal Airport. The certification tests were completed on Nov. 8, 2024, after 250 hours of test flight, 100 technical files, and more than 12,000 pages produced for EASA.

With certification in hand, the company has ramped up production, with first deliveries expected in January 2025. The company aims to deliver about 15 aircraft in 2025, officials noted.

Meanwhile the company continues flight tests for two other aircraft, the INTEGRAL S and the INTEGRAL E.
