GetJet B737 tips backwards at Norwegian airport: pictures

A Boeing 737-800, operated by Lithuanian ACMI carrier GetJet Airlines on behalf of Wizz Air, tipped backwards at Haugesund Airport (HAU), in southwestern Norway, on June 11, 2025.

The aircraft had just disembarked all passengers after completing a flight from Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport (GDN), Poland, when a weight distribution issue during offloading reportedly caused the eye-catching incident to occur. This resulted in the aircraft being nose-up with its landing gear a few feet off the ground.

No one was injured during the incident, which several bystanders captured on camera, and sharing the images online.

The affected aircraft LY-UNO has been a part of GetJet Airlines’ fleet since 2022, having previously been operated by Virgin Australia for more than a decade.

After its front part was lowered back to the ground, the aircraft was flown to Šiauliai (SQQ), Lithuania for further inspection. Meanwhile, GetJet Airlines dispatched an Airbus A321 from its base in Lithuania to Norway as a replacement aircraft.
