The upcoming HBO limited series “DTF St. Louis” has added both Chris Perfetti and Joy Sunday to its cast, Variety has learned.
Perfetti and Sunday join previously announced cast members Jason Bateman, David Harbour, Linda Cardellini, and Richard Jenkins. The show was picked up for seven episodes at HBO back in November and is now in pre-production.
The official logline for the show states, “A limited series about a love triangle between three adults experiencing middle-age malaise, that leads to one of them ending up dead.”
Perfetti will appear in the role of Tiger Tiger, while Sunday will play Jodie. Further character details are being kept under wraps.
Perfetti currently stars in the hit ABC mockumentary series “Abbott Elementary” in the role of Jacob Hill. The show is currently airing its fourth season and has been renewed for a fifth. He has also appeared in shows like HBO’s “The Night Of” as well as “What We Do in the Shadows,” “The Resident,” “Looking,” and “Gotham.” In film, he has acted in features including “Sound of Metal” and “Twinless.”
He is repped by Paradigm, Goodman Genow, and ID PR.
Sunday currently stars in the global phenomenon Netflix series “Wednesday” as Bianca Barclay, a fellow student at Nevermore alongside Wednesday Addams. The second season of that series is due out in 2025. Sunday’s other TV credits include “Dear White People” at Netflix and “Good Trouble” at Freeform.
She is repped by Gersh, Asteria Artists, The Lede Company and Del Shaw Moonves.
Steven Conrad serves as writer, showrunner, executive producer, and director on “DTF St. Louis.” Both Harbour and Bateman will executive produce, with Bateman doing so under his Aggregate Films banner. Additional executive producers include: Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch for Escape Artists; Molly Allen; Bruce Terris; Michael Costigan for Aggregate Films; Jennifer Scher for Elephant Pictures; Kristina Wenson for Bravo Axolotl; and MGM Television.
