Vertical Profile feature now available in version 13.2 of iFly EFB

iFly EFB adds Forecast Layer, Vertical Profile, and more in latest update — General Aviation News

Vertical profile is a new feature in iFly EFB app version 13.2.

Adventure Pilot, creators of the iFly EFB app, has released Version 13.2, introducing new features aimed at improving safety, situational awareness, and efficiency for pilots, according to company officials.

A highlight of the update is the new Forecast Layer, which provides real-time and future projections for critical flight conditions, including flight rules, visibility, and ceilings, company officials noted. This tool helps pilots visualize weather conditions along their routes, allowing for more informed decision-making in changing environments, they added.

The Vertical Profile feature has also been upgraded, now including a customizable “Layers” button and detailed weather data, such as cloud coverage and flight rules. Pilots can view synced weather forecasts directly along their flight paths, further enhancing situational awareness, company officials explained.

“These upgrades reflect the feedback from our dedicated user community,” said Juanita Boyd, VP of Operations at Adventure Pilot. “The new forecast tools and PDF briefing option address features pilots have been asking for, and we’re proud to deliver them.”
