Jason Isbell has announced a new album: Foxes in the Snow, the musician’s first album without his band, the 400 Unit, since 2015’s Something More Than Free, is out on March 7 via Isbell’s Southeastern label. Leading and opening the album is the new song “Bury Me.” Check it out below.
Foxes in the Snow is described, in a press release, as Isbell’s “first entirely solo acoustic album.” He recorded the new album, at New York’s Electric Lady Studios, over five days in October. For the new album, Isbell sang played just one mahogany Martin 0-17 acoustic guitar from 1940.
Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit released their latest album, Weathervanes, in June 2023. The band has a bunch of tour dates on the horizon; they’ll follow Isbell’s imminent solo concerts. See all of Isbell’s upcoming shows below.
