Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is back with her first new podcast in more than two years: “Confessions of a Female Founder,” in which she’ll share insights and stories from her own business ventures with other “notable” women entrepreneurs.
From Lemonada Media, Meghan’s new podcast will premiere April 8, 2025, across Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts and other major audio platforms. New episodes of the eight-part series will be released weekly. The series “allows audiences to be a fly on the wall and hear the unfiltered stories behind the successes of notable female founders, while also sneaking a peek behind the curtain of Meghan’s own entrepreneurial journey launching As ever,” according to Lemonada. Her line of As ever products, launched in partnership with Netflix for her show “With Love, Meghan,” is “inspired by her long-lasting love of cooking, entertaining and hostessing with ease.”
“I’m so proud of what we’re creating, and the candid conversations that I’m able to have with other female founders as we unpack the twists and turns of building a business,” Meghan said in a statement. “Through my friendships and relationships, we’re able to dive into the type of insights that everyone wants to know as they’re building a business, and that I’m able to tap into as I’m building my own business with As ever.”
The new podcast comes under a deal Meghan inked with Lemonada Media last year, after Spotify‘s exclusive podcast deal with Prince Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Productions ended in mid-2023 with the couple having had delivered just one show (her interview series “Archetypes”) to the streamer. Under the deal, Lemonada is handling ad sales and distribution for episodes of “Archetypes,” in which Meghan “explores the labels that try to hold women back.”
Meghan’s lifestyle show “With Love, Meghan” debuted last week on Netflix — and was received with a cadence of poor reviews (it currently has a 35% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes). Netflix ordered a Season 2 of the show, slated to premiere this fall. In “With Love, Meghan,” she hosts friends for meals and shares lifestyle tips. Celebrity guests in Season 1 include Mindy Kaling, chef Roy Choi and Abigail Spencer, Meghan’s former “Suits” co-star.
Lemonada Media is an independent podcast network founded in 2019 by Jessica Cordova Kramer and Stephanie Wittels Wachs. The company’s original shows include “Wiser Than Me With Julia Louis-Dreyfus”; “Fail Better With David Duchovny”; “Choice Words With Samantha Bee”; and “The Sarah Silverman Podcast.”
“As female founders ourselves, Steph and I are grateful to get a chance to build alongside Meghan the exact podcast we needed when we started Lemonada,” said Cordova Kramer. Wittels Wachs added: “Meghan is such a warm and welcoming person, and you feel that in her interviews. She creates a comfortable space for her guests to bring fascinating personal stories to the table and open up in a way they likely haven’t before publicly. Listeners can expect conversations that are way more breakroom than boardroom.”
