MT-Propeller has received an EASA STC for the installation of its 3-blade constant speed propeller on the Beech B24R and C24R powered by Lycoming IO-360-A1B engines. The FAA STC is in progress.
According to MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht, the installation features:
Damping characteristics for almost vibration-free propeller operations
Bonded-on stainless steel leading edge to protect against erosion
Up to 15 pounds less weight than the original propeller
Increased ground clearance for less blade tip erosion
Unlimited blade life
FOD repairable blades
MT-Propeller, which holds more than 220 STCs worldwide, is an OEM supplier for more than 90% of the European aircraft industry, as well as 30% of the US aircraft industry. More than 33,000 propeller systems with more than 115,000 blades are in service, according to company officials.
