From wildflower blooms to animal migrations, biodiverse destinations are trending this spring, indicating a quest for nature-focused experiences. Here are some of the trending destinations and nature events surging with nature nomads this Earth Month:
Cherry blossom blooms (Nagoya City, Japan)
Home to Nagoya Castle, Japan’s first castle to be declared a National Treasure, and parks including Tsuruma Park, and Meijo Park, Nagoya City, Japanexperienced over 110 percent growth in searches for spring 2025, compared to the year prior1. These parks are celebrated for their diverse array of plants and wildlife, making them popular destinations during the Hanami – the Japanese tradition of cherry blossom viewing from March through May.
Wildflower blooms (Castleton, VT, United States)
The Green Mountain National Forest, which spans across southwestern and central Vermont, provides an ideal nature retreat for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. In early spring, visitors can admire wildflower blooms, including trillium, trout lily, bloodroot, and spring beauty, which blanket the state’s lush landscape in color.
