A new book, “Building a Kit Airplane: Everything I Wish I Knew Before I Started,” is now available on Amazon.com.
One goal of the book is to help prospective kit airplane builders determine if they have what it takes to be successful before starting a kit airplane project, by answering questions like, Do I have the ability to build a kit airplane? How much space do I need? How much is it going to cost? How long will it take? What tools do I need? How do I balance project time with family life?, says author Elby Gray.
“Like every new kit aircraft builder, I learned a lot during the process of building a kit airplane,” he continues. “During the project a significant amount of time was devoted to learning about aircraft construction, painting, researching tools and aircraft components, as well as understanding the process for making the airplane airworthy. The goal of this book is to pass this knowledge on to first-time builders to improve their likelihood of success and to help them build a better airplane.”
“This is the book I wish I had before I started my kit airplane project,” he concludes.
The paperback book is $34.99.
