A new Etihad Airways Airbus A380 service has touched down in Singapore joining London, New York and Paris as destinations for the superjumbo jet.
The Etihad Airbus A380-800, registered A6-API, left Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport (AUH) on February 1, 2025, just after 22:00 and landed the following day at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) around 09:30.
Etihad Airways announced in August 2024 that it would be deploying its A380 aircraft to Singapore with the news coinciding with Singapore National Day.
The three international airports already serviced by Etihad’s A380s are London-Heathrow Airport (LHR), New York’s John F Kennedy Airport (JFK), and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).
The A380 will add over 700 more seats a week on the popular daily service and includes The Residence – “the world’s only three-room suite in the sky”.

The decision to deploy our much-loved A380 boosts our travel offering between Abu Dhabi and Singapore and highlights our resolve to go beyond by delivering fantastic travel experiences across Etihad’s growing global network,” said Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer of Etihad Airways
He added: “Bringing the A380 to Singapore, along with our broader network expansion plans – including increased frequency on key routes – demonstrates our strong growth momentum in Asia. This added capacity reflects the growing demand we’re seeing for travel to and from Singapore.”
