Octavia Spencer Slams DOGE Employees, Offers ‘The Help’s’ Poop Pie

Octavia Spencer channeled her Oscar-winning role from “The Help” to send a blunt message to Elon Musk‘s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). In the words of Minny Jackson: Eat my shit.

“Bake sale for Washington to ALL DOGE employees and supporters,” Spencer wrote while sharing a photo from “The Help” of Minny holding up her notorious poop pie. “I need good vanilla from MEXICO and some CANADIAN maple syrup. #limitedEdition pies. Corn and chocolate. Need lots of donations for the special ingredient. Eat looooooooots of corn. One time sale. Fill out the cards below. Who would you send a pie to?”

Spencer ended the post with “#MinnyJacksonCallToAction.” In “The Help,” Spencer’s Minny gets revenge on the manipulative socialite Hilly Holbrook (Bryce Dallas Howard) by baking her a chocolate pie made with Minny’s poop. The scene in the film culminates with Minny triumphantly telling Hilly: “Eat my shit!”

Back in November, Donald Trump assigned Musk to “dismantle” the U.S. bureaucracy through the Department of Government Efficiency. The organization’s acronym, DOGE, nods to the Dogecoin cryptocurrency that has been associated with Musk. The controversial X owner was put in charge of DOGE alongside former Republican primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

“Together, these two wonderful Americans will pave the way for my Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies,” Trump said in a statement at the time. “It will become, potentially, ‘The Manhattan Project’ of our time.”

Trump added at the time that Musk and Ramaswamy’s work as part of DOGE would conclude in time for the country’s 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026. Musk wrote in a statement that DOGE “will send shockwaves through the system, and anyone involved in Government waste, which is a lot of people!”

Since Trump took office in January, DOGE has been slashing agencies from the federal government. Attorneys general from 14 states filed a lawsuit against DOGE earlier this month. As reported by the AP: “The lawsuit says the actions taken by Musk at the helm of DOGE can only be taken by a nominated and Senate-confirmed official. It sites constitutional provisions that delineate the powers of Congress and the president. The attorneys general said the court should bar Musk from issuing orders to anyone in the executive branch outside DOGE and declare that his actions have no legal effect.”
