As part of its commitment to enhancing its fleet and improving the onboard passenger experience, LATAM Airlines has unveiled its new Premium Business cabins, set to launch in the first quarter of 2025.
These new suites combine privacy, comfort, and a design inspired by the natural beauty of South America. Developed in collaboration with PriestmanGoode, the Recaro R7 suites incorporate South American elements: granite tables inspired by the Andes, interior contours evoking Brazil’s sand dunes, and copper accents that pay homage to the region’s heritage.
LATAM’s new business class suites are designed for privacy and relaxation, offering fully private seats with sliding doors, making LATAM the first South American airline to introduce this feature. Each suite converts into a comfortable bed, ensuring a restful sleep experience on long-haul flights.
Passengers will also enjoy direct aisle access, dedicated shoe compartments, ample storage space, and USB-A and USB-C charging ports. For entertainment, each suite is equipped with an 18-inch high-definition screen.
“This new design is a celebration of our region, its landscapes, and the rich culture of South America. By incorporating these influences into our cabins, we deliver a superior travel experience that reflects our cultural identity while prioritizing privacy, comfort, and convenience,” said Jaime Cornejo, LATAM Airlines’ Cabin Interior & IFEC Manager.
The first aircraft featuring this cabin is currently being retrofitted at LATAM’s maintenance and repair center in São Carlos, where the group has invested $7 million in a new specialized hangar for Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
In September, the LATAM group began the renovation of 24 Boeing 787 aircraft, with a total investment of $360 million. This project involves completely refurbishing the cabin interiors with new seats, enhanced in-flight entertainment, and upgraded design elements.
