Millions of people are embracing a little two-word mantra and helping the creator of it hit the top of the charts.

Mel Robbins‘ self-help book, “Let Them Theory,” has returned to number one on Amazon’s book chart as the author prepares to hit the road on her “Let Them The Tour.“

Originally released in December, the motivational mindset how-to quickly became a New York Times bestseller, with the audiobook version (narrated by Robbins) also back at number one on the Audible charts.

Fans and followers are no doubt catching up on their reading before seeing Robbins in person on her “Let Them” speaking tour, which kicks off May 1 in Boston and runs through June 8 in London, England. You can see a complete list of tour dates and find tickets here. The book, meantime, is currently on sale for 48% off (as of this writing) on Amazon.

The Let Them Theory

Robbins’ latest book introduces a new way for people to respond to criticism and expectations, with the author positing that oftentimes, “The problem isn’t you. The problem is the power you give to other people.”

As “The Let Them Theory” goes on to explain, the best way to ease anxiety and gain confidence is by focusing less on what others think and on things you can’t control. Instead, Robbins writes, “start focusing on what truly matters: you.”

It seems simple, but fans are lapping up the advice, with publisher Hay House reporting more than one million copies sold. The book has also been translated into 50 languages.

Part of Robbins’ appeal it seems, is her conversational tone and relability. The podcast host and former lawyer details lessons from her own relationships and career, spotlighting eight key areas of life where the “Let Them” theory can be applied. Robbins also draws from new research, and anecdotal evidence from experts in psychology and neuroscience to show just why comparison can be the kiss of death.

As the publisher notes state, “Free from the exhausting cycle of trying to manage everything and everyone around you, ‘The Let Them Theory’ puts the power to create a life you love back in your hands.”
