The EGOT-winning legend Rita Moreno may have garnered dozens of awards throughout her 40 year-plus career, but she’s receiving one more honor ahead of her 93rd birthday next month: a Barbie doll in her likeness.
Barbie is celebrating the actor and singer’s birthday on Dec. 11 with a special-edition Rita Moreno doll as the newest edition to their Barbie Tribute Collection. The doll will be available to shop on Amazon for $40 starting Nov. 20.
The doll is inspired by Moreno’s most famous red carpet moments, donning an elegant black and gold gown, with a strapless sweetheart neckline and a long skirt with metallic design. The doll also features opera-length gloves, statement earrings and a sleek up-do to complete her look.

Outside of her accomplishments on the stage and screen, Moreno has used her platform to uplift other Latinos to tell their authentic stories. Moreno serves as the National Honorary Chair of the Latinas & Power Corp. Advisory Council, where she assists with guidance for the new Latinas in Leadership Institute.
The Barbie Tribute Collection, which debuted in 2021, celebrate visionaries for their contributions, impact and legacy as trailblazers. Past honorees include Lucille Ball, Vera Wang and Laverne Cox.
