Seni Tienabeso Named VP, ABC News Live


Seni Tienabeso has been promoted to vice president of ABC News Live, the Disney news’ unit’s live-streaming operation, and will also oversee ABC News’ medical and climate units while reporting to ABC News President Almin Karamehmedovic.

Tienabeso will lead all aspects of ABC News Live, including resource and talent management, content development and programming. He will also collaborate with ABC’s television stations, ensuring effective.

“Seni is one of the most talented, hard-working journalists in the industry who has a natural instinct for creative storytelling and impactful reporting,” said Karamehmedovic, in a prepared statement.

Prior to this role, Tienabeso was the first executive director of ABC News Live, helping manage the streaming news channel, which streamed more than 600 million hours in 2024. Before that, he was executive producer of ABC News Live’s primetime programming, and helped create and manage the service’s “ABC News Live Prime,” anchored by Linsey Davis. Among the recent moves he has managed is enlisting some of the weekend anchors from “Good Morning America” to take part in presenting live- news programs on ABC News Live.

Tienabeso started his career at ABC News in 2007, and previously worked as a producer at ABC’s News One affiliate service ,a producer for ABC News based in Miami, and a senior producer at “World News Tonight.” He has taken part in reporting on consequential news stories including several presidentia elections, natural disasters, the 2014 Israeli-Hamas war, the Boston Marathon terrorist attack, the earthquake in Haiti, and the Chilean miner rescue.
