Last month, Shamir announced his final solo album, Ten, and shared the song “Neverwannago.” He’s now revealed that the album is out on May 19—a decade after the release of his studio debut, Ratchet. Below, watch the music video for the new album’s second single, “Recording 291.”
Ten features songs “written by those closest to [Shamir], unused demos, and castaways given a new life.” Today’s new song was co-written with Paige Pfleger, who also stars with Shamir in the video.
Ten is both Shamir’s 10th solo album and marks a decade of his career. It follows 2023’s Homo Anxietatem.
