‘Sherri’ Daytime Talk Show Renewed for Season 4

Comedian Sherri Shepherd’s daytime talker “Sherri” is a go for Season 4, Lionsgate’s producer/distributor shingle Debmar-Mercury announced Thursday. The news comes as “Sherri” has now been renewed in more than 95% of the country, including station groups like the Fox TV Stations, Nexstar, Hearst, Sinclair, Gray, Tegna and Sunbeam. “Sherri” will now continue through the 2025-2026 TV season.

Fox TV Stations exec vice president of programming Frank Cicha called the show “a linchpin of our daytime lineup.” According to Debmar-Mercury, “Sherri” was the No. 2-rated syndicated talk show in Nielsen’s metered markets this February, up 33% from November 2024 in the key women 25-54 demo. It was also No. 3 among daytime talk shows in February, up 17% vs. November.

“’Sherri’ will continue to provide stations with the quality original first-run daily programming they need to succeed in daytime,” Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus said in a joint statement. “Over the past three seasons, the show has proven its value to stations and advertisers, with Sherri Shepherd as the only single-host comedian on daytime TV able to deliver her audience a much-needed daily dose of laughs. We thank our great broadcast partners for continuing to make ‘Sherri’ a foundational element of their lineups.”

“Sherri” tapes at New York’s Chelsea Studios and is both produced and distributed by Debmar-Mercury. The show is currently cleared in 98% of the country.

“I don’t take it for granted that people welcome me into their homes daily,” Shepherd said. “I work so hard to bring escapism to viewers’ lives through joy, laughter and inspiration, and I’m grateful that the audience has embraced what we do. I look forward to raising the bar and turning up the volume as we plan for our season four return.”

Other daytime talkers already renewed for 2025-2026 include “Tamron Hall,” “The Drew Barrymore Show,” “The Jennifer Hudson Show” and “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
