Sling Pilot Academy has expanded to Long Beach Airport (KLGB) in California.
Founded in 2011, Sling Pilot Academy now has four flight training schools across Southern California, with facilities at Torrance Airport (KTOA), Santa Monica Airport (KSMO), Gillespie Field (KSEE) in San Diego, and Long Beach.
The new Long Beach academy has been up and running for about a month, Sling’s Co-CEO Matt Liknaitzky said in mid-March 2025. Sling has about 50 students in training at the airport, he said, noting the facility has the ability to train hundreds of students at a time.
