COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Aviation Association (SCAA) hosted a Legislative Reception March 4, 2025, which brought together aviation leaders and state legislators, providing a “key opportunity for SCAA members to engage directly with elected officials about the critical role airports play in the state’s economic growth and development,” according to association officials.
SCAA has identified sustainable airport funding as one of its top priorities for 2025, emphasizing that the state’s airports contribute $22.5 billion to South Carolina’s economy, according to association officials.
“This reception was an important opportunity to strengthen relationships with our legislators and highlight the need for dedicated airport funding,” said James Stephens, SCAA president.
