“The year ended strongly and the number of air passengers at our ten airports increased by four per cent in December compared with December 2023. Demand for international air travel has continued to grow and the decline in domestic travel slowed during the second half of the month,” says Jonas Abrahamsson, President and CEO of Swedavia.
“At the same time, the final scheduled BRA flight has taken off from Bromma and since the end of the year domestic air traffic has been consolidated at Arlanda. In the long term, this will strengthen connectivity for Sweden in terms of both domestic and international air travel. In 2025, the remaining parts of the new marketplace will open at Arlanda and we are looking forward to presenting new initiatives for the future that will make an already good airport even better.”
