Tecnam secures multiple aircraft orders at Pilot Expo 2025

Italian aircraft manufacturer Tecnam has recently secured new orders for its training aircraft during the Pilot Expo 2025 event held in Brussels from February 21 to 22, 2025. Flight schools are expanding their fleets in response to the increasing demand for commercial pilot training. Agreements were reached with Aeros, Cyprus Airways Flying Academy (CAFA), and Smart Aviation.

Aeros

British flight training school Aeros signed a purchase agreement for 14 Tecnam P-Mentor IFR single-engine two-seater aircraft.

“We set up a steering group of five senior engineers, managers and instructors to evaluate the three leading two-seater trainers currently available in the market,” Nick Dunn, CEO at Aeros, explained. “Tecnam came out on top in terms of quality, cost and after sales service.”

The first six will be delivered in 2025 and will be utilized for both ab-initio and modular training for the Private Pilot License (PPL) and Multi Pilot License (MPL) courses.

Smart Aviation

Poland-based Smart Aviation has expanded its fleet with five additional Tecnam P2008JC aircraft.

“The demand for pilots continues to grow, and it is our responsibility to provide well-trained professionals who meet the highest standards,” said Mateusz Dzialynski, CEO and Head of Training.

These new aircraft, scheduled for delivery in 2025, will complement the existing Tecnam fleet at the academy, which includes various other models along with the P-Mentor. Smart Aviation has been collaborating with Tecnam since 2013.

Cyprus Airways Flying Academy (CAFA)

CAFA, based at Larnaka International Airport (LCA), has purchased two Tecnam P2008JC single-engine aircraft.

“Tecnam aircraft are state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly, and align with our commitment to innovation in flight training,” commented Christos Limnatitis, Accountable Manager at CAFA.

This order will standardize CAFA’s fleet and increase training capacity. CAFA already has a Tecnam P2006T in its fleet.
