The Strand Turks and Caicos, the highly anticipated luxury resort community located on 2,230 feet of oceanfront on Cooper Jack Bay in Providenciales, is now open for overnight guests. Part of The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd, The Strand features luxury suites, multi-bedroom villas and expansive private residences designed in collaboration with RAD Architecture, Inc. and Modus Operandi, each offering breathtaking ocean views and floor-to-ceiling glass doors, spacious terraces, and hand-crafted infinity pools. The property is one of the most sustainable resorts in the Caribbean with solar integration from local leader Renu Energy TCI providing more than 75% of the community’s power and a designated “Pollinator Sanctuary” in partnership with renowned Denver-based Butterfly Pavilion.
“We are thrilled to officially open our doors to The Strand’s first overnight guests, inviting them to become an essential part of the community we have so passionately cultivated here in the Turks & Caicos,” says John Fair, managing director of The Strand. “The Resort is designed to offer not just luxurious amenities but also immersive, thoughtfully curated experiences that resonate with our guests. We’ve crafted our programs and facilities to encourage exploration of nature’s playground and to take advantage of the warm, inviting waters of the Caicos Banks. Our hope is that guests leave with lasting memories and a deep sense of connection, both to each other and to this remarkable place.”
The Strand’s grand opening celebration was held on November 20 with a spectacular celebration. The evening unveiled a vibrant 15-foot mural by renowned Turks and Caicos-born artist, Bradley Theodore. The artwork celebrates the soul of Turks & Caicos and is on display to guests immediately upon arrival at The Strand’s open-air reception area. The event drew an impressive gathering, including homeowners, esteemed local dignitaries, the Experience Turks and Caicos team, the elite Sotheby’s International Realty sales team, and The Strand’s executive leaders.
The DelMar, The Strand’s upscale restaurant, bar and beach club, features an outdoor beachfront patio with cabana seating dotted throughout and a kitchen naturally built into the hillside with a living green roof. Specializing in the freshest fish, seafood, prime steaks and chops, cooked on an exhibition wood fired Parrilla, or smoked in-house, the menu fuses flavors from Asia, Latin America, and the Mediterranean and sets the new standard for dining in Turks and Caicos. An adjoining waterfront bar offers a more casual menu and specialty cocktails throughout the day.
Visitors are guests of The Club at The Strand, enjoying a la carte services, including butlers, private chefs, special culinary events, and more. Amenities include an accessible beach, restaurant and beach club, tennis and pickleball courts, water sports, and an exclusive marina, which offers guests access to the resort’s Boston Whaler with a private captain. A full-service spa and kids’ club will open in the year ahead along with the launch of a “Maestro in Residence” program.
Along nearly a half mile of exclusive ocean frontage, The Strand is remote yet easily accessible, only ten minutes from the Providenciales International Airport and 15 minutes to the world-famous Grace Bay Beaches and shopping area.
