Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye has shared the first trailer for Hurry Up Tomorrow, his upcoming movie that shares its name with his new album. The psychological thriller is directed by Trey Edward Shults and stars Jenna Ortega, Barry Keoghan, and the Weeknd. In the high-octane clip, the stars get embroiled in a series of mysterious events, with Tesfaye seemingly playing a version of himself. Check it out below, along with some photos from the film.
Hurry Up Tomorrow, the album released last week, is billed as the final chapter in the Weeknd’s latest trilogy, which began with 2020’s After Hours and continued with 2022’s Dawn FM. The new LP includes the singles “Timeless” and “São Paulo,” as well as contributions from Lana Del Rey, Justice, Giorgio Moroder, Future, Florence and the Machine, Travis Scott, among others.
This past Sunday night, the Weeknd made a surprise appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards to perform the Hurry Up Tomorrow cut “Cry for Me” with Playboi Carti. The performance ended a years-long boycott of the Recording Academy.
This summer, the Weeknd will embark on a stadium tour in support of his new album. Joining him on the latest leg of the After Hours Til Dawn Tour is Playboi Carti.
