Bell Media has struck a new co-development deal with comedian Tom Green to create content for the Canada-based entertainment company’s streamer Crave and linear network CTV.
The new agreement expands native Canadian Green’s ongoing relationship with Bell Media with previous projects including “The Tom Green Show” and “Tom Green’s House Tonight,” as well as Green’s recent co-starring role on Crave comedy “The Trades.”
The pact covers both scripted and unscripted programs from Green with specific project details to be announced at a later date. Green’s manager Rory Rosegarten will serve as executive producer on all projects.
Bell Media’s new deal with Green comes on the heels of several other high-profile TV development partnerships made between the media company and talent and studios, including agreements with Seth Green and Evan Goldberg’s Point Grey Pictures, Lionsgate and Elliot Page’s PAGEBOY Productions.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be working with Bell Media to develop some of my ideas,” Green said in a statement to Variety. “It’s great to be back living in Canada and working with one of the world’s premiere media companies.”
Bell Media senior vice president of content and sales Stewart Johnston added: “Over the course of his legendary career, Tom has been a creative and comic visionary who has consistently seen around the corner to be ahead of his time. We look forward to embarking on this new journey together as we develop dynamic projects and expand Bell Media’s mandate of making great original content that resonates at home, and abroad.”
