Visions’ Series to Return for Third Season


“Star Wars: Visions,” a Lucasfilm anthology series of animated shorts from around the world celebrating the mythology of Star Wars through different cultural perspectives, will return for a third season, Marvel Studios’ president Kevin Feige said on Wednesday.

Feige was a surprise guest at the annual Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific Showcase held in Singapore.“Star Wars: Visions Volume 3” will debut in 2025 on the Disney+ streaming service. The upcoming series will feature both new and returning anime studios, and return to Japan to celebrate the world of anime through the elements and mythos of Star Wars.

The event, which also featured Dana Walden, co-chairman of Disney Entertainment and continues Thursday local time, also saw the unveiling of several previews and sneak peeks not previously shown to Asia Pacific consumers or business media.

These included song previews from upcoming movies “Mufasa: The Lion King,” Disney’s “Snow White” and “Moana 2”; and first looks at Disney’s “TRON: Ares,” Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia 2,” Pixar’s “Hoppers” and “Dream Productions”; Lucasfilm’s “The Mandalorian” and “Grogu,” Marvel Television’s “Daredevil: Born Again” and Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.”

“Captain America Brave New World” star Anthony Mackie made a live appearance at the trade event in the daytime and also headed up the evening’s fan event, “The Disney Presents: A Night Of Stars.”

The evening session also involved many stars from Disney’s Asian original shows: Park Eunbin and Sul Kyunggu from “Hyper Knife”; Kim Soohyun and Cho Boah from “Knock-Off”; Ju Jihoon and Park Boyoung from “Light Shop”; Ryu Seung ryong, Yang Sejong and Lim Soojung from “Low Life”; Kim Dami and Son Sukku from “Nine Puzzles”; and Unmasked withKim Hyesoo and Jung Sungil, as well Yuya Yagira and Show Kasamatsu from Disney+ Japan’s hit drama series “Gannibal.”
