The new daytime drama series “Beyond the Gates” is now airing daily on CBS but there are a few ways for viewers to catch up on the groundbreaking Black soap opera from home as well.
The debut project from the CBS Studios/NAACP venture, “Beyond the Gates” premiered on Feb. 24 and airs weekdays from 2-3 p.m. ET and 1-2 p.m. PT on CBS stations across the country. If you want to watch “Beyond the Gates” on TV, any basic cable package or a digital antenna (like this one from Amazon) will let you watch the show on your local CBS affiliate.
How to Stream “Beyond the Gates” Online
Want to watch “Beyond the Gates” online? You can stream the soap opera on Paramount+. Subscribers to the streamer’s Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan can watch the live CBS airing of “Beyond the Gates” each day as it airs. Access to Paramount+ with SHOWTIME costs $12.99/month and includes live TV, exclusive originals and thousands of hours of on-demand content across all the Paramount and Showtime libraries.
You can also watch “Beyond the Gates” on-demand with a Paramount+ Essential subscription, which costs just $7.99/month. The basic plan lets you stream “Beyond the Gates” episodes online the day after they air on TV. The Paramount+ Essential plan does not include live TV streaming.

Set in an affluent African American suburb just outside of Washington, D.C., “Beyond the Gates” focuses on the powerful and affluent Dupree family, whose glamorous lives and exteriors may be masking darker secrets underneath. As a press release teases, “Behind these pristine walls and lush, manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered. And those who live outside these gates are watching closely.”
“Beyond the Gates” marks the first-ever one-hour Black daytime soap in television history. It’a also the first new daytime drama to premiere since “Passions” in 1999.
The series began production in Atlanta last fall and stars Tamara Tunie, Clifton Davis, Daphnee Duplaix, Karla Mosley, Alex Alegria and Lauren Buglioli, among others. Watch the Black soap opera weekdays on CBS and stream it online on Paramount+ here.
