In France’s Camargue region, a family of cowboys herd bulls on horseback, reminiscent of the American Wild West.
Known as the last Cowboys of Europe, Raoul Mailhan and his family have looked after a manade of semi-wild bulls since his grandfather founded it in 1954. Now at its helm, Raoul seeks to preserve his family’s rustic heritage by rearing horses, herding bulls and competing in traditional bull races.
