Yahya Abdul-Mateen II to Star in ‘Ghostman’ Series for Sony TV


Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and his House Eleven10 production banner have signed a first-look deal with Sony Pictures Television.

Under the mutli-year deal, Abdul-Mateen will produce scripted drama series for streaming and cable.First up, he is attached to star in a series adaptation of the Roger Hobbs novel “Ghostman” with House Eleven10 producing.

Per the official logline, “The Ghostman specializes in making things disappear, but when a botched casino heist leaves millions in cash up for grabs, he has just 48 hours to clean up the mess—while staying ahead of someone who wants him dead.”

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Katherine, Lauren, Andrew, Eric, and the excellent team at Sony Pictures Television,” said Abdul-Mateen. “House Eleven10 is a place where creativity is limitless, and we could not have found a better home to share our vision of creating boundary pushing and exciting stories.”

Abdul-Mateen founded House Eleven10 in 2021, with Andrew Fischel serving as president. The actor is known for roles in shows like “Watchmen,” for which he won the Emmy for best supporting actor in a limited series, as well as “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Black Mirror,” and “The Get Down.” He has starred in films like “The Trial of The Chicago 7,” the two “Aquaman” films, “Candyman,” and “Ambulance.”

Up next, Abdul-Mateen will star in the Marvel series “Wonder Man” at Disney+ and recently wrapped production on the Netflix series adaptation of “Man on Fire.” Other upcoming projects include “By All,” “Emergency Contact,” “The Scent of Burnt Flowers,” and “I Helped Destroy People.”

Abdul-Mateen is repped by M88, WME and Johnson, Shapiro, Slewett and Kole.
